work with me
My approach
I am trauma-informed, EMDR trained, as well as collaborative and client-centered. Depending on your goals and needs, I incorporate projective tools (symbols, imagery, oracle cards) therapeutically. Through these practices, we can address issues like creative blocks and limiting behaviors. I see therapy as sacred work—a space where healing and awakening happen together. This process isn't just about managing symptoms—it's about returning to you. Mental health is personal and political. Our work together can be a space not just for healing, but for reclaiming voice, agency, and truth.
My focus
My therapeutic niche is working with those who have experienced chronic childhood trauma (C-PTSD). This includes child abuse, neglect, attachment trauma, dysfunctional families, and adult children of alcoholics. I work with a broad range of experiences, including identity exploration, ancestral trauma, healing, and life transitions. In my practice, I approach therapy through a lens that is anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming, and actively anti-racist. I strive to create a space where all parts of you are seen and valued—not just as an individual, but as someone moving through a world shaped by systems of power.
My communication style
My communication style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I aim to hold space with compassion while also offering clarity and structure. Clients can expect honesty, attunement, and a steady presence—whether we’re exploring something deeply emotional or navigating more practical concerns. I move at your pace while staying grounded in mutual respect and transparency.
My first session with you
Trust and rapport building are key. I hope to set the tone, and you set the pace. In our first session, I’ll invite you to share what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping for, and any concerns you have about starting therapy. There’s no pressure to tell your whole story all at once—we go at a pace that feels safe and respectful for you. My role is to create a space that feels grounded, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. I may ask questions to better understand your experiences, but the focus is on building connection and clarity, not rushing into solutions. This is your space, and you're in charge of how we begin.
